The Toffinator Posted June 8, 2012 Share Posted June 8, 2012 As above, just had a mk4 golf with one of these on: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-1-8-T-Forge-FMDV008-Recirculation-Dump-Valve-/130558556165?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AGolf&hash=item1e65e57805#ht_563wt_1037Similiar layout to the standard one, is there anything special about these that wont let me fit it to my car, or will it fit and work??I know i will need to enlarge the hole for it to fit and mabye a bigger hose, but does it work the same way?Thanks! AdamB Posted June 9, 2012 Share Posted June 9, 2012 The stock dump valve is actually a recirc valve as far as i'm aware, and its the same on a lot of cars. It just bleeds off the excess pressure back into the intake.If thats the way you wanna go, I would look at the Tial Q bov, much better made than the forge items. The Toffinator Posted June 11, 2012 Author Share Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) Mint, anyways i got it for bugger all today thanks to my boss:D Should hopefully make an improvement in boosting and dumping at least!Had a quick skeg at fitting it, only difference is location of the vacuum nipple, and this one doesnt have an inlet for the rocker cover breather, so i can get rid of the pipes and clean it up a bit!
