steve-gers
Going to be going TD04 in the next few months in the autobus and was wondering if an automatic civic rad would be ok for the conversion? Also would the bracket to fit a normal civic rad to a starlet fit the auto civic one too? Found a couple on ebay pretty cheapRad 1Rad
jezza
I'm not sure if a standard civic rad would have enough cooling capacity. Everyone tends to go for the dual/tripple core alloy rads. It may be OK as it can cool a 1.6l na honda engine though? If you can't find a dual core alloy civic rad for an auto, you could opt for a manual version and then fit a seperate transmission oil cooler such as: -http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOCAL-10ROW-GEARBOX-AUTO-TRANSMISSION-AXLE-OIL-COOLER-/400303944980?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d33f97514
pick1
With u going for tdo4 I'd be looking for a dual or triple core ally rad to make sure your temps will be kept down Mate
steve-gers
what about all the people that use standard rad's with td04? I'm only going to be running .7 bar of boost for a while then 1bar around christmas. all road driving no track or drag
pick1
Then u should be ok and the gt standard rads are bigger/ bigger cooling area and have copper in them which is good for cooling I'm just giving u an opinion on a civic style rad mate as that is what I am now running now with my td04 set up
