turbo chatter now diff...

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I seem to have a strange issue which I hope u can help with..

I took e motor out for a good blast last week where I hit a pot hole but Everythin seemed ok! Later that day I came outa Asda and noticed the dv sounded more psshh instead of the vicious sound it had.. but thought nothin of it. Anyway, later that night I blew off the hose where it hit the pot hole, which I then managed to get back on but I seem to be getting more boost creep and when I block off the dv the turbo chatter sounds more as if it stalls and then chatters from full boost if that makes sence.. I ran for ages without a dv and only recently plumbed it back in but somethin ain't right... and I can't see any possible leak areas...

So I get more boost creep and the turbo chatter isn't right..

Any thoughts?

Sorry meant to say, all the usual mods on a ct9b running 1 bar on a mbc and hks actuator.

Well I just went back out and checked it over. The actuator is stiff but not stuck, the actuator vac pipe had a thin point from where it was rubbing against the air filter pipe so I replaced that, checked all the brackets were tight etc on all the piping.

I cant think what else would be causing this issue..

My mani has a small crack but that's been their for a while..

Any thoughts ?

U thought your pipe may of been loose causing a slight leak before u popped it off so now u have tightened it all back up your getting full flow there by more boost to hit fuel cut ? Just a thought mate

Nah dude because the way my fmic is the pipes are a bit lower than the bumper so they whacked the ground, only later on when I came off throttle it popped off, I've managed to get it back on but its just not right.

I've turned the boost down a little to see if that helps but I doubt it. I'll work on it tomoz again...

Any other thoughts guys?
