jtaylor1990
Hi guys, title says it all to be honestCar can sit idling at home for example and every few days, sometimes earlier, sometimes a bit longer than a few days, it will start smoking from the exhaust but quite a bit then I blip the throttle and it stops completely and wont do it again for however long. The conditions dont matter, it does it hot or cold. Thoughts?? I've heard about the whole PCV valve being blocked but I have no idea what that does or its location on the engine bay, I think my turbo will go thoughThanks Josh
micky boy
Mine done the same thing would only smoke on idle at times blip the throttle and it would clear up but if i let it idle for 15min or so it would start builting up smoke again! I put a freshly rebuilt turbo on and its been fine ever since!!!..Could always try and clear your PVC valve just for pice of mind first and see how it go's but going off what you have said im thinking turbo! If you need a freshly rebuilt turbo give me a shout im rebuilding them for a good price Edited September 24, 2012 by micky boy
