azad998 Posted June 29, 2007 Share Posted June 29, 2007 hey i had a broken mount a few months back but they guy must have done a crappy repair because it was cracked and it apparantly put pressure on the gearbox. the gearbox is now cracked and is leaking oil, i was jus wonderin if anyone knws how much a recon gearbox would be and can i put a corolla gearbox in my car?.Toyota Starlet SR 1999 1.3 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
StarletRick Posted June 29, 2007 Share Posted June 29, 2007 the gearbox from a 4efe rolla will work mate. so thats cool. a second hand box will cost you a few hundred quid aswell. although you should persue the garage who repaired it, as its their shabby work that went wrong and they should sort it out. Toby@ToyTuning.com Posted June 29, 2007 Share Posted June 29, 2007 Is that £135.00 for a recon'd box? As mentioned it would be wise to speak to the garage as they are partially to blame. You can use the box from the G6 Corolla with no problem at all.
