Help Appreciated (Fuelling Problem)

Hi all.

I’ve just brought a Aem wideband brand new from aem.i was having fuelling problems so brought this to help.

First of my walbro fuel pump wines but only when engines on i no its normal noise but i thought it also would wine when the key is in the on position to build pressure.

When it idles its at 14.7 but when i turn my lights on it goes to 16.2.

I then go to accelerate and the gauge goes to red. I’ve set the fuel pressure to 3 bar with vacuum line off and running 0.7 bar on td04 turbo setup.

If anyone has any information or help on how to fix or what’s wrong it would be much appreciated.

hi what im trying to work out is why when i accelerate the car is running lean 16.7 and when it idles its at 14.7. which I've been told is ok

Does fuel pressure need to be set with vac line of or on.

not that i no of mate I've had a look around the ecu didn't see it.what else could cause this

i hear different things about setting fuel pressure vac line on and off what is the rite way

vac line off, 3 bar sound alot for .7bar

whats the afr on boost?

havnt had a chance to boost yet because as soon as you accelerate it runs full lean.

i assume van line of is the way to set pressure.

i wasn't sure if fuel pump had gone

What rpm are you accelerating from?

My Rrfpr was set at 3 bar when my td04 was @ 1 bar ...

its from when you accelerate pretty much

Just take it somewhere that know what they're doing and get it sorted before you go and damage your engine if your worried!

i would if i lived near a garage that would set it up i live on the isle of wight cost £840 to get it towed here lol

Is it under full throttle acceleration?

no mate just light acceleration and goes to red around 16:2 on i just can't work out why it drops when i accelerate but its ok on idle

u sure your gauge is ok and set up right?

i brought it straight from aem is there any parts of th gauge that need to be adjusted I've got the sensor in correct place etc

ok well up the pressure and see how that goes, dont matter if the vac line is on or off tbh

i set the pressure higher and still the same engine management light has come back on knock sensor issue.

Ive also set the calibration dial on the aem gauge to p4 and still the same,

Was hoping to get it mapped next weekend by TD but as i cant even get it to run rite looks like it could be next year at this rate.
