Toyo T1R's ... Uniroyal Rainsport ... Prada Spec 2's??

Recommended Posts

Personal preferance for me is the t1r's, had them on a track car of mine an I could out grip an m3 on slicks, I found the yokie's all round shit tbf, an not tried the rainsports but the toyos are very forgiving, and they give you a great feel, my set done 2 full days at Bedford, a trip to the nurburgring an 20+k miles on them...

I've had my GT 6 years and always run T1R's on it and never had an issue with them, also run rainsport 2 on my type R and never had an issue with them, you won't go wrong with any of the above i doubt, just stay well away from the really cheap brands.

There is also a new tyre rating system thats come into force this year, a mate of mine is a tyre fitter and was telling me about it, rates things like wet grip/braking distances and noise levels etc rather than just having a speed rating on them. Have a look into that to see what you can find.

Also when I was looking for tyres for the type R I found this site useful

http://www.tyrerevie...ivic-Type-R.htm

It has reviews from people who have used the tyres on that car and has lots of ratings for different things like dry grip/wet grip/wear etc. might not have starlets on there, not sure haven't checked but it is worth a look if you have a few mins as lets you know what to stay well clear of and what ones are decent.

Edit:

Just found GT and Glanza on there, not many reviews yet though so check the civic link above to get an idea of what i mean a bit better as lots of reviews on there.
