Oil In LSD

I bought redline MT-90 75W90 for my box before I realised that it has an LSD fitted. Is this oil still ok for it?

Think it depends on the diff. Oem is ok with normal oil but after market has different recommendations

it looks like a TRD mechanical one

MT-90 is GL4

mechanical is clutch type so you need a friction modifier, if that oil has some in it you will be ok but you may need to buy separate and add with the mt 90

I thought I would only need a friction modifier if the LSD was clunky and noisey? MT-90 doesn't have a friction mod in it but redline sell it on its own.

you need a friction modifier if its a clutch type diff! im going to use millers ls 75w 90 nt in mine, same diff

I was going to use thta but ended up going with redline. what happens if I don't use a friction modifier?

i think it will just be alot more clunky! id add it just to be safe

Doesn't clunk at all just now the way it is though. Very quiet diff.

I'm just going by pictures on here what the diff looks like so could be mate guess the only way to tell would be to split the box but that is too much hassle.
