engine management light

Recommended Posts

my mate has a 1996 auto glanza and he is having issues with the engine management light coming on, it is a well modded version and has an apexi Neo fuel controller, HKS FCD fitted to it.

it never had the issue untill it went on the rolling road at JAE with Thor since then everytime it hts about 1 BAR the light comes on and goes off again, we know with it been an auto it spikes to 1.2 or 1.3 BAR on gear change but that does not affect it as its not under load, does anybody have any suggestions as to what it may be

its when you put your foot down, it has alot of mods on it including front mount, exhaust mani, down pipe etc,

1 Bar is ok it has run 1.2 before no worries but he has backed it off

i wouldnt run 1.2 bar unless you have done sum serious work!! you also need the correct fuelling mods to go along with the FCD or you will be needing some new rings and pistons.

it sounds like its gonna hit fuel cut, u wanna get the fault code and then search it up dude..

fault code pointed at the MAP sensor, just seemed strange that it only started happening after it was rolling roaded, my glanza ran over a bar day in day out for a year never had any issues,

and it has got good fueling mods on it too

1.2 bar even on a hybrid ct9 is alot mate.

Im assuming it is hybrid? because if hes running a standard ct9, it wont be making any power over about 1bar any way..

Just turns into a heater lol Heating the air up and doing sod all performance wise.

MAP sensors are prone to going..

Is he running a piggybak ecu or standalone?
