A L 3 X Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I'm sure I've read somewhere that some td04 oil feed bolts have a larger hole some have a smaller one, now I've seen these bolts that just look like a standard bolt, now the one I've just bought has threads either side with like a nut in between, one side screws into the turbo, the other side the oil line screws onto, and it has a hole straight threw the centre,Will it work I'm and is there a necessary size the hole has to be? WallaceGlanza Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 It depends on the oil line you intend to use as to whether to will work - you'll obviously need it to suit the adaptor you've bought which is likely to be a JIC fitting, the oil lines the traders sell use a banjo connection which is to suit a banjo bolt not the type of adaptor you have. A L 3 X Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Yeah the oil line ive got fits it thats not an issue, i've just read of the hole in the bolt needing to be a certain size to control the amount of oil flow thats all, i'll get a picture soon Quote
WallaceGlanza Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Will probably be about 5mm which is fine, there's no oil restrictor needed on the td04. Quote
A L 3 X Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Something similar mate i'll get a quick pic? Ah really? Yeah i read somewhere late td04's came with a really fine holed bolt or something and mines from a 52 plate car so didnt want to over feed it thats all Quote
A L 3 X Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 Here we go mateExcuse the state of my hands was giving the turbo a clean lol Quote
WallaceGlanza Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 That's just a metric to BSP fitting, looks like the kits Dave B (TMD) sold so will be fine. Quote
A L 3 X Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 Yeah the line screws onto this after this has screwed onto the turbo. That sounds good then, heard good things about Dave(r.i.p) Quote
