ShafzC
Hey guys, I know there's a pinned topic on this but I think my questions a little bit different. At the moment I've got a catch can setup as seen here: After some drives there ends up being oil over the engine and a smell of oil into the car, so I bought a 9mm oil breather filter, and was wondering how to convert from the catch can setup above, to a breather filter as the smell of oil gets quite alarming at times. Or can I mount a breather filter on the open port of the catch can? Will this solve the oily smell? Thanks in advance. Shafz. Edited March 1, 2013 by ShafzC
StuDoc 72
The oil will be coming out of the open hole on the catch can stick the breather filter on there it will stop it spitting out. Alternately put the filter on the breather on the rocker cover between HT lead 1&2. Then use some breather pipe to connect the PCV valve to the vacuum nipple on the intake mani fold that you have bunged up with a bolt.
