stup86
Hi,I've recently been looking into the TD04 conversion. Seen all the manifolds, downpipes etc from WEPR (any good?) and the turbos aren't too hard to get hold of.Now before I even think about buying any of this stuff, what should I do engine wise to ensure everything is running right. At the moment its all standard.I'm after a basic list list of things that will need to be changed/uprated for the conversion.Ta
StarletRick
you will need a decent fuel setup. so at a minimum thats a uprated fuel pump, bigger injectors (330s or bigger, depending on what power youre after) rrfpr and a piggyback. if you got the money get a stand alone unit.you may aswell get a fmic while youre at it. and depending on how much boost youre running id suggest some forged pistons. then a good tune. thatll all cost you 1500-2000 quid. StarletRick
also, as a side note, do not get wepr stuff, it is shoddy at best. if you want a td04 mani, get one from dale at braidedlines.

Idrees
I've never heard anything bad about WEPR systems. Am I missing something?
GeeUK
A few of his manni's have cracked. However, a lot of variables are involved.Stainless has better flow characteristics, but holds heat longer than mild and is not good with expansion.Mine has been on for well over a year and neither the manifold or downpipe have cracks.I did invest in TRD engine mounts and an engine brace before hand thou.As above thou mate, fueling is the main thing.
