Starletmeech
I made the decision to change my inlet manifold today got everything off but the bottom 2 bolts on the outlet flange, how the hell do you get to them to undo? ;)
kevink
i removed the fuel rail, and you need some good tools, they are a pain in the ass to reach!i there is a howto on here somewhere.. *goes off looking for the searchoption*
StarletRick
if you take the airbox out you can get round that way. still a friggin pain though.
Starletmeech
i took the fuel rail out of the way! and even tried from below and that didn't work! I'll try removing the airbox aswell
Idrees
Make sure you get that fuel rail back on properly and don't loose any of those little rubber gromits otherwise it'll leak fuel!!I opened the bottom the bottom 2 bolts by using an extension on the rachet and putting there from behind the inlet mani.Hope that helps, good luck. kevink
Exactly what Idrees said, that's how i did it to.let me put it in order:- removed top bracket mounting manifold to engine- removed airbox- removed throttle body(didn't fully remove just undid bolts)- removed fuelrail(same as on throttle body- removed bracket from the underside(also linked manifold to the engine)- removed manifold itself
Starletmeech
the fuel rail was fine for me! i was a bit fearful of moving it because people sait to be super careful but it was a doddle to re-fit!I'll give it another crack later this week!
