Chand
The oil pressure sensor at front of block on 4e-FTE engine What I'm thinking of doing is removing this sensor and fitting a oil pressure sensor for my gauge but wondered if firstly if anyone has done this and is it possible to also wire the standard cabling from old sensor on to it so its still getting a signal? turbo Grant
you can use some thing like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MR2-STARLET-SUPRA-TURBO-CELICA-COROLLA-REMOTE-OIL-PRESSURE-GAUGE-ADAPTOR-MLR-JE-/121083144419?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c311e28e3
AdamB
As Grant posted. You won't be able to use the stock wiring though as its not a signal wire, its purely for the dash light only and has no reference to the ecu or any other electrical component.
Chand
So with that adaptor I could run both with out messing about wiring as still getting signals? Thanks for replies
AdamB
If you run that adaptor, you plumb in the stock pressure sensor, then plumb in your gauge as well into the other port.. Then just route the wiring for your gauge wherever you like.
mech5107
What gauge do you have? Some senders have an "on-off" contractor to be used with stock dash light.
