Rysmithy Posted May 4, 2013 Share Posted May 4, 2013 Alright guys, just a quick question my glanza sometimes revs up and its on when im driving along and doesnt stop til the car is turned off, wondered if anyone would know why? was thinking its the throttle boddies and just cleaning them, whats the best stuff for that if so? Taggy Posted May 4, 2013 Share Posted May 4, 2013 sounds like the throttle is jamming, the car uses a throttle body which i mechanical, so the only way the car can rev up is if the plenum inside is open (which opens and closes when you do the throttle). Danza V Posted May 4, 2013 Share Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) I had a similar issue. I'd check for a vac leak if its jumping about a lot, Or as you said give the tb a clean out with some carb cleaner cause the butterfly may be getting stuck open.
