Igniter problems HELP

Recommended Posts

Had my car mapped today but on the way hittin bumps on the motorway made the car bog/cut and the eml came on for a few seconds didn't think anything of it . Arrives at the mapper he wired up my emb started fine ran for about 10 mins made a few adjustments on the laptop Etc - he then drove my car over the road to the dyno the car then wouldn't start and showed code 31 & 14 . Code 31 was map sensor sorted that and code 14 was igniter cleared the codes plugged the emb back in and started fine. The tuner was mapping the car for about an hour and all was sweet made 209 at 0.9 on tdo4 . He then went to drive it off the dyno and again wouldn't fire !!!! We thought the ecu was dodgy so tried it on another car and was fine opened it up no problems etc !! Now the car is running on standards ecu again but the emb bridged so I could drive home . When I got home I tried another standard ecu didn't make a difference still didn't fire when the emb was plugged in !! But again on the way home hitting bumps was making the engine cut and bog again !! Has anyone experiences this before !!!?????

Try checking the plug wires mate, Check the HT leads as well.

Another thing would be to make sure its getting a good earth as it gets its earth through the bracket from the firewall.

It's weird that it starts on standard ecu but not when the emb is plugged in !? The emb wiring is all spot on . I'm going to try a different igniter Tomorpw and check earths etc so annoying though just had it mapped and can't Evan drive it properly !
