Arnold
I've got an ignition issue when I hit boost, and the car mis fires a bit. I had my head gasket changed to an Athena 1.4mm last week and nothing else has changed, but the car was spot on before the HG was replaced. I was told to check my cap and rotor arm, crappy I phone photos i'm afraid. Do these need replacing? I've tried cleaning them up a bit bit no improvement CheersArnold
Fizturbo
Replace them whilst already of car,are your spark plugs new and leads fine?
Arnold
Plugs were fitted last September and hardly been driven much, but i'll check those tonight. The leads are a few years old. I've got the Magnecor KV85's. I will replace the cap/rotor first and go from there
Taggy
They are cheap enough to replace so probably worth doing, but if its misfiring on boost its more than likely down to your spark plug gaps, sounds like the turbo is blowing the spark out. Take the plugs out and tap them against somthing hard, you want to decrease the gap on the plugs ever so slightly. You can do it by eye or you can use a feeler guage to get the correct gap, doesnt need to be much, just make sure you dont dent it to much that the electrode touches each other. Done this loads of times to fix misfires, works a treat :~

TurboTobz
I think I just sorted my missfire, i cleaned the contacts on rotor and distributor and I think the carbon brush in centre of the dizzy was jammed its sprung and should move out as it wears, check yours
