Short Shifter

I've been thinking for a while now about fabricating my own short shifter by using the stock shifter, has anyone on here done it, got some tips and how much have you increased the length for best results?

done this a while ago just extended the end by 10mm feels a million times better

weld it very slowly bit by bit so you dont heat up the plastic very cheap mod

Yeh I don't want to be paying top dollar for something I can do very cheaply. I've been trying to figure out what size would be best, would you say that you would have it slightly longer like maybe 2mm more or do you think 10mm is good enough?

i reckon 2/4mm more would be about the limit as the stick will hit the back of the gearstick housing otherwise

Cheers man, will probably try 12mm out and see how it is, that will be my limit anyway I reckon. Will give it a bash maybe next weekend as I'm fully booked this weekend ha
