Licari3
What does a limited slip differential exactly in a car ? And why do people swap the stock differential with a lsd
StuDoc 72
Exactly what it says on the tin. Limits the amount of slip. If you were to jack up 1 of your front wheels and have a non lsd put it in gear bring up the clutch and gun it. Only the wheel which is jacked up will turn and the car should stay still. An lsd basically prevents this from happenng to allow better traction if 1 wheel was to lose contact with the ground.Thats it put simply.
