MSW Posted June 21, 2013 Share Posted June 21, 2013 hey guys i was wondering if anyone could help me ive been having some problems trying to remove the top mount from the back suspension , i cant seem to get anything to hold onto the little nipple on top to keep it still, i didnt know if there was any special tool or way of doing it ? StuDoc 72 Posted June 21, 2013 Share Posted June 21, 2013 Mole Grips with a spanner on the nut. Failing that. Under the dust cover put the molies directly onto the shock rod get as close to the top mount as poss though as if you mark the shock rod and it then recoils it can damage the seal. You can wrap it in a cloth to try and protect the rod. Make sure you get as far up the rod near the top mount as the closer you get the less likely to damage the seal.
