Hey guys my brake peddle is rock solid

I took the vacuum off from the inlet manifold to the brake servo ( I think, big black round thing) to change it to suit uprated manifold. Air came out under pressure when I took it of. Is this my problem with the brakes?

Any help be great thanks.

Yep certainly will be unless you put it back on the manifold? I'm sure aftermarket inlets have a fitting for the servo?

Same thing happens if you pump the pedal a load with the engine off - the pedal goes hard as the vaccum is lost. Start the engine and it puts the vaccum assist back, and the pedal goes soft again!

There's nothing to bleed in a servo itself. Have you got the hose back on it? Also most servo vaccume hoses have a one way valve in them that you'll need (if the OEM one had it).
