difference between Wiseco and Wossner pistons

Recommended Posts

so yeah, as above, not sure what the difference is regarding the G/pin size, i know what kind of pin the Wossner's use, but why would the small end be a different size to the Wiseco's? (just what Ive been told) can they only be used with certain rods?

They will be the same wee end pin fitment.

Pretty sure Wossner use a high silicone content, which would lead to more thermal expansion therefore the need for more tolerance in the engineers rebore, subsequently a more rattley engine when cold.

apart from that, get the appropriate comp pistons, flat or concave/dished and your sorted.

i see, well i just need a set of pistons to fit my stock rods as theyre still in good condition and i dont have the funds for a fully forged engine, only the bits i need to rebuild it (head gasket, head bolts, shells, etc etc) Im only going to be running the stock turbo so im going to be stressing the engine out too much
