Installed diff but want to check for g/box condition

Hi all ive Installed my cusco diff but want to check for g/box condition before i seal it up and fit the box as i havent ran this box although im led to believe it runs fine. heres a few pics i took.

any hints tips welcome:)

Look's ok, main thing is to just check the gear, no cracks, dents, chips (although may find a few). Check the synchro rings, no broken or missing teeth.

hows the best way to check them ? ive moved the mechanisms round to check the teeth can't see any loose metal etc just dont want to take it apart and explode everywhere

Best way to check them is to use the box unfortunately. Other than that its just a case of a visual inspection.

hmm think i will clean it uo and whack some diff oil in and give it a bash

If the magnet was covered in swarf then that is obviously a bad sign, if the magnet was there that is!
