car is hesitant and shakey

Recommended Posts

Basicially when im driving at high speed the car is perfect but when im e.g in second gear moving slowly in traffic at about 10mph the car is hesitant, sluggish and starts to shake like its going to cut off. Then when i floor it theres a huge flat spot until about 3000rpm when the power just kicks in really good. what can cause this. ????????? ps. it been fully serviced, new plugs and new battery. it got standard cast iron manifold, decat pipe and front mount.

Pressure test your intercooler pipes to rule out a boost leak as it's a common problem! Get a empty spray bottle, put a little bit of water and washing up liquid give a shake up and when your car is running spray it on the joins of the intercooler pipes and rev it a few times if you see bubbles then you have a leak in that area, you can do the same with your dump value to make sure that's not leaking also!

done that mate. its all good. got a new turbo fitted to. its much better than before but i noticed that when im drivin and i stop at traffic lights the idle of the car is not right. it drops alot like its going to stall then goes back up to 1000rpm then down abit and up. could it be the idle control valve or sumtin that controls the idle? what you think.
