Radio flickers on and off

Recently my car became abit temperamental and would start. I replaced the battery and all was good... Until my radio decided to start flickering on and off before it just completely died! It did this before the battery finally went but I never took much notice. But now it sometimes comes on but then goes off.. Sometimes it's on the standby ( which is normal for my radio ) when the cars off but as soon as u start it up it dies.. I've checked fuses, wiring, radio itself and even put a different one in with no luck... Any help please!

yeaa i was rushing one day put the battery terminals on the wrong way and now the radio wont work, i have changed the fuse in the fus box and the back of the radio any one any ideas also tried a different readio and same problem any ideas ????

def sounds like a wiring issue, loose connection at the plug into the radio possibly. Is it a different head unit you tried or a completely different radio/cd player unit? Try bringing the unit out abit so you can get at the wires and give them a wiggle to see if it comes on again. also check theres no loose fuses that may shake about but still look in place.

Yeah it sounds like a ground issue or a bad 12V constant
