AdamB Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 The relief valve just bleeds off excess pressure. It will be the pressure switch as YT said, its a common fault. Quote

The oil pressure switch has no bearing on the engine what so ever, the only thing it does is activate the low oil pressure light on the dash once a preset pressure is reached by the sensor. Quote
