Hi all, took a head off my in laws car after the belt snapped. The engine just spun when you turned the key. I've attached some photos to ask fir some advice.. The valves did hit the pistons. Not by much, but they hit.

The only real way to tell if valves are bent is to pull them out. Even if they aren't visually bent they can compound which will make them stick in the guide.

What are the opinions your after?

Also, when I took the head off abit if oil seeped down into the jackets how do I get that out? Not a lot but there's enough in there to make it a bit oily. Should I just reassemble and flush it several times?

Best bet to get the oil out of the water jacket is to suck it out using an extractor, if not just drain the coolant and flush it a couple of times before adding fresh coolant
