how much power can a 4efte gearbox handle

Ive just built a forged motor and few months later the gearbox just let go on track came on boost hard hit 2nd and was nothing there so now 1st 2nd and natural are all 1st car makes 140kw and 235nm on 13 psi any help would be helpfull cheers

There two types fella, c56 and c52 the c52 is from a gt and has longer 3rd/4th gears but second is the same on both of them I believe so maybe you were just unlucky.

The c52 can handle well over twice what your running, there people running 370-400bhp.

It depends how much mechanical sympathy you have too. At the end of the day its more torque that breaks gearboxes not power.
