Engine management light

Engine management light is coming on when I give the car the boot. But there is no difference in the cars performance .it goes away when turn the car off and won't come back on until I give the a thrashing any help would be good

Yea took it last night to diagnostics done but the guy I took it to the diagnostics tool didn't have a plug to fit is the glanza plug different . I got a bigger diameter exhaust put on and the car when on idle dose smell like it's running rich thanks for help

Paper clip test FTW! :)



Like Seab said "Paper clip test? Bridge E1 and TE1?" and turn the ignition on and count how many flashes the engine management light gives off, it will be something like 2 flashes then a short pause then like 1 flash, which would mean error code 21!

Yeah try the paper clip test or with a simple wire strip both ends and plug each end into E1 & TE1, also bud the problem sounds like fuel cut.. does the car start to judder at all when reaching boost/the light appears on dash?
