take off the dash facia which is around the original headunit. There are two screws on the beam below the heater controls. Once you have done that gently prise the bottom of the facia away from the dash (it is clipped on), once you have done this you will have a clear view of the headunit and the surrounding area. The is another 4 screws that you will then need to remove. The hold the metal bracket onto the dash, which also holds the headunit in place. There is two screws above, and two screws below, that are a little harder to acces. Once you have done that the whole head unit and bracket will come out, discounect all the wires, and then your free. I think the head unit is screwed into the bracket so there will be a few more screws. Simply undo these, and the headunit will come out of the bracket. simply re-install the new headunit, using the pointers you used to take it out

Hope this helps. Thats all i can remeber when i helped do it.......

Right mate what you want to do is pull off the 2 nobs for the heater controls, then there is 2 small slots either side of the heater control unit, put a small screwdriver in these and pull the unit out. Then disconnect the heater controls, remove the 3 screws that you can see, pull off the dash fascia and disconnect your hi/lo button, hazard warning and rear heated screen buttons. Remove the 4 screws holding the radio in, swap the old one for the new one and you are done.
