I use a combination of cakewalk and cubase.

Both have different synthesiser packs and plugins ive bought etc..Both are good for different things.

I generally start the basic beat with cakewalk, make a simple beat with some hihats,lohats,claps and drums..

Then play with effects, change the envolopes, tempo, play with the synthesisers etc.

Next tune im going to start tomorrow will be a sort of acid /hard house tune.

Thats pretty cool. I've never heard of those software before, I use FruityLoops at the mo lol and GarageBand on my mac.

I use fruityloops XL too.Its a bit too basic though..

I have NEVER touched a real life mixer lol

I dont have the cash for a proper mixer and decks just to sit in my room and play with when im bored lol

Would be awesome to own a proper setup though.I did think about it a couple of years ago but again, not enough room

Plus its way too easy to just turn my pc on, get the software rolling and fiddle
