mr_K Posted June 6, 2014 Share Posted June 6, 2014 I just started up the engine it idled on 2k for a couple minutes and then it started hunting for idle.if i try to give little revs its splutters.ive got a fcd fitted but im not using it; can that cause the engine to idle rough?If i set the fcd to 0 will it disable it? richardc9052 Posted June 6, 2014 Share Posted June 6, 2014 could be a couple of things..Is the vac line to map sensor split or loose?How is your idle control valve (may need cleaning/replacing) Do a diagnostic test otherwise you could spend hours searching Quote Link to post Share on other sites

mr_K Posted June 6, 2014 Author Share Posted June 6, 2014 Ive had a look and i fink ive found the problem. When i remove the plug for tps while the engine is running and it starts to idle very high. At 3500rpm.and when the plug is connected it starts hunting for idle again between 1000rpm to 1500.Is the tps sensor faulty or does it need a clean and needs to be setup correctly. .ive got a 1.9mm head gasket can this cause anything. ?Thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites
