Emanage blue wiring help

Im trying to wire up my emanage blue, im using the wiring diagram from tgtt forum and there is one thing that's confusing me.

On the diagram there is two wires that says intercept. By intercept does it mean cut and splice into wire or i just cut and leave them.

It means you have to cut the orginal wire then splice one wire into one half and the other wire into the othe half if you get what i mean
