mr_K
I have a emanage blue which I bought and I was told it was removed from a fto.Ihave been trying to hook it up to my laptop and clear the map but there is a problem; the active light turns Green but the interaction light is off and ive never seen it on.Does the emanage need to be plugged into the car before anything or I can use it separately? _shaun_
Is it poping up on your laptop? U have to run like vista on a 32bit operation system to open it. I was trying with a new laptop and strangely its to new to work ha
triple j
Your best putting it in to the car, just make sure the jumper switches are in the correct order for 4efte, to clear the map open new maps then burn to ecu.
mr_K
Nope its not. Juat the usb data cable is reading on the laptop and when I go onto the emanage support tool a popup appears saying its not finding the emanage.Ive tried changing all the comports and its the same.Im running 64bit wondows 7 maybe thats the reason im not sure and all my laptop's are windows 7.Tonight im going to setup the jumper settings, plug it to my car and then tey again.Does the interaction light go on when its connected to the laptop? triple j
What usb cable are u using, a normal usb to usb will not work unless it has an rs232 ttl converter on one end and a driver installed on your laptop to support it.
mr_K
Its usb to usb one end of the usb has a chipset inside and all the drivers are inatalled. In device manager is shows up as COM Port and usb serial converter.
triple j
Is it an rs232 ttl chipset.

triple j
http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?103039-Emanage-Blue-Usbto-Usb-CableThats what i use and will 100% work for u, the problem with your fdti may be that the rx and tx pins are in the wrong order. mr_K
Ive checked that guide out.Ive swapped pins around still same.I just picked up two new usb ttl Chipsets one is a Pl2303 and the other is CH340G module.Going to make two cables and see which one works.I heard that new FTDI chip drivers have a security feature in the driver which zeros the PID values.
