Hello guys am Aaref From UAE which stands for United Arab Emarits Dubai.



I know this is a UK starlet owners ...



i have always wanted to have a starlet GT , but unfortunately we do not have these cars in my country anymore !



well then here is my project !



a Vw Beetle Powered By Toyota Starlet Ep91 if am not mistaken !



i came here to this forum for learn more about these engines and share knowledge ! as i don't have any info about them !

cant you buy 1 ere in uk or japland and import to your sunny country :)

thats fecking coool mate 1 fast beetle did you use the original gearbox ???? with an adaptor plate

would love to see more detail on it or a build thread :) :)

thanks for your comment bro , too bad we cant drive cars with right hand drive not alloweed

only cars under 1989 year can pass.

and yes my car has the original gearbox trans axle , with an adapter plate.

clutch and drum even vw stock parts ! only the flywheel and engine are from the starlet turbo.

that looks great dude how much fabrication did it take to fit buddy ? and what sort of info are you looking for fella and you have come to the right place dude loads of smart guys that know the engines in and out :) welcome along hope you enjoy here :)

i think m engine got some missing parts so its not healthy engine but derivable and kinda fast.

i really wanna know these things.

1.how to increase the boost.

2.if my blow valve location is correct or not ,and the hose that going to the gauge.

3.i got an aftermarket boost gauge i would love to install it.

4.i want to use a better inter cooler which will work fine with the stock turbo.

5.i really want to know the intake vacuum locations.

6.i have an adjustable fuel regulator , how to increase it or make it works better

guys my car has no power steering and the AC is there but without a belt so its not working with the other pulleys.

am sorry but am trying to explain more my English inst that good.

1: buy hks adjustable actuaror and tighten bar to increase boost OR weld on external waste gate on manifold and weld up penny in turbo



2: its wrong mate you have it on intake to ct9 pipe it is nevver under boost only vacuum this bov needs to be on the pipe going from turbo to intercooler



3: connect the sensor of the gauge on a vent of the INTAKE manifold bov is connected to it !!!



4: donnt see the point having bigger intercooler in the back unless some serouise air vents to it are created



5: the fat nipple is for out brake master cylinder al the small 1s can be used for map sensor and gauges al spare nipples can be blocked



6: fpr adjust with the screw ontop ( where blue pipe go to ) and loosen nut to be able to move adjuster screw when finished jut lock the nut



disconnect the aircon and unbolt from engine

yeah ,

by the way i had my stock pulleys and stock cam gear pulley before and the car was running much better , now once i installed these aluminium pulleys it seems abit slower then before , not sure if my adjustable cam gear installed correctly or not .

what you suggest me ?
