Kazgti
Hi allWas looking for golf or polo and stumbled upon a little white starlet. It's an si, very basic on R plate. Bought for 340 with yr mot 70k on clock and tank of fuel.Had loads of cars in my time and for some odd reason I'm loving driving this. Will be keeping this a while, already got my Bluetooth radio in, upgraded the headlight bulbs, took stickers off, fixed remote boot lever. Waiting for clear indicators to arrive and also plan on painting black round door window frame.Off to look round some 'how to's'. Karen - Harlow

slaphappy
You won't regret buying her. Ultra reliable, not much to go wrong, cheap as chips to service n insure. Mine's suburst red and when autoglym'd looks amazing for an 18 yo car. 0-40 so quick for a 75ps car, I can only image how a 300ps glanza feels. An owner's comment left on: http://blog.toyota.co.uk/history-of-the-toyota-starlet Agreed. A brilliant little car. Tough and ultra-reliable in a way modern cars simply can’t match (probably because they have little electronics in them and the EP91 gen cars have had so many years of Toyota knowledge / tweaking behind them…). I have a much posher german car with a multiple of the Starlets horsepower, but I love my Starlet just as much. And if I had to choose one of the two to go around the world in – I’d take the Starlet no hesitation. The german car would be broken down before I got out of Europe probably! If anyone is looking for a cheap reliable 2nd car these days for the day to day stuff, then go for a Starlet. They are THE bargain for those in the know. You won’t regret it.Toyota Starlet = FANTASTIC CAR. Look at the user reviews on Autotrader, one of only a few cars to have a near perfect 5 stars from owners.
Kazgti
Totally agree. I work at the airport, drive everybody else's cars - range rovers, audi jags etc keyless ignitions electronic handbrakes, all mod cons. Makes me wonder what will happen when they start going wrong. Couldn't get into a car to start it yesterday as key fob battery had died. I actually look forward to the drive home in my Starlet . I was very surprised at how nippy it is and what a smooth ride, even over the many speed bumps we have in this town! Given its about 18 yrs old it's quite incredible. This VW fan has been converted
