Starlet gls p29 clocks for n/a starlet

Heard that the p29 clocks are a straight fit in the spotifs. I managed to pick up a set of (suposedly rare?) P29 clocks out of a gls with the brushed dark grey facia and chrome trim but nothimg seems to work oher than all the lights which i dont have such as abs and seat belt warning lights.

Rev counter and fuel gauge dont work, is it as simple as a straight swap as all the wires/connecting pins line up with the plugs.

My cousin has put a set of p29s in his sportif with no alterations

Any help would be appricated
