boost cut, ways in which to stop it

Just bought my starlet gt in white. will try up load some pics soon..

what it is, i need to know couple of things about it..

the car is in real good condition bodywork also engine very well looked after,

but when im driving the car and put my footdown a let boost come on,

mainly in 3rd gear upwards at high'ish revs, its like the power shuts of then pulls again anyone know the problem please let me know... It also idels a little high,, like just above 1OOO rpm nothing bad but this is all thats wrong with it

could it be over boosting or will it need uprated fuel pump ' ( i dont know /

the car has just come over from japan not so long ago

itsgot a big front mount intercooler and couple other things, THE CAR RUNS PERFECTLY FINE APART FROM THIS 1 THING cheers!

Sounds like your hitting fuel cut, a very common problem, its is over boosting.

what do i need uprated fuel pump you think

if you dont have the origenal airbox setup brown packng tape round a portion of the airfilter is a cheap viable option to limit airflow

if you have a look at the technical section fual cut has been covered before, do some of the steps above and this will eradicate it until you can solve out fualing issues to match your mods mate

OR you just adjust the actuator or use an electronic boost controller to restrict the boost with the solenoid..

Yeah, I have both HKS actuator and GReddy profec ebc and it doesn't stop it, mine creeps upto 16-17psi where I hit my fuel cut, only when its really cold though.
