4efte earths

How many earth's on these engines an where are they roughly thanks

I suspect I'm short of a couple, as the only earth I had to undo to get the engine out was the gearbox to chassis.

Engine mount to chassis

Starter motor

Alternator

Left side of inlet cable comes out of injector loom casing

Gearbox

These are all I can think of off top of my head

Sorted on starter alternator and inlet Mani

Any idea how thick the wire is or should be off the other earth's

Pretty sure they vary but just over do it if you need to make a new one as you will only benefit from a better earth

Do you mean where the engine/box is earthed to the chassis or do you mean where there is earth points on the wiring loom?

Engine an box to the chassis , the ones in the loom are pretty straight forward

Are you having probs with it turning over?

Take a look at the latest post in my build thread, i was and made a new earth from the box to the chassis and it sorted it.

Ive got some surplus and can make you one if you wish.

Where are you getting the battery terminals look smart?

No mate your grand thanks though was just after there locations an a rough idea of the size of wire as want to make up some the weekend

Just a local place then I've got some hydraulic crimpers to put them on and heatshrink them after. I did my one out of 35mm2 so pretty chunky.

Ya would want a hydraulic crimps for that ha least it gives me an idea thanks again

Yea you won't have a hope of doing them with anything else, even 25, or 16mm you'd struggle i think.
