sosolid Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Hey guys long time! So i seen oil build around and below the distributor. Does the distributor have an oil seal? and if so would that be the cause of the leak? Its not dripping, but just build up, which is fresh as its wet. Quote
Idrees Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 There is an O ring on the distributor, that is most probably the cause. It could also be the rocker cover seal. Quote
Bean Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 theres a recent thread on this which came up not long ago on this issue. Quote
Flaminsam Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Yea mine turned out to be the oil seal inside the distributor. Bit of a pain to do. Quote

Bean Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 that sounds about right to me, the external one on the dizzy shaft. Quote
sosolid Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 So i changed the distributor o ring seal and all done. thanks guys. There was alot of old oil and grime when i took the distributor out. Cleaned all that with degreaser and brake cleaner and all done. Now to sort out the other leak from the bottom of the timing cover. Quote
