jayc-glanza17
Has anyone dry sumped their starlet?
gorganl2000
i've never heard anyone doing it..only the rare passing discussion...most just improve the baffling in the oem sump or buy an aftermarket baffled sump for track/circuit/sports purposes i'd imagine the costs may outweigh the benefits/logistics for our cars, or else someone would have done it by now but let's hear what the others say,,,you may get lucky Edited February 21, 2017 by gorganl2000
AdamB
If anyone's done it, it'll be Spuddy or the guys at Zisco I would have thought, but these are all drag motors. It wouldn't be too difficult to fab something up if you know a good fabricator as you can use the air con location for the pump. A sump pan would be rather simple also as it would just be bent at right angles on all 4 sides with a few fittings. If you're worried about oil starvation on track, a cheaper alternative is using an oil accumulator, this will dump a load of oil into the engine during hard cornering to stop it from starving. jayc-glanza17
Adam ive thought of that the air con pump area is ideal for the dry sump pump.Reason im looking at it is starvation worries me long term. Definately something to look at. zisco did fab up one.
