morgey
You'll struggle to get it to fit with the 6 speed. My 5 speed is hard up agaisnts the inner wing and my crank pulley is half width to get it to fit without cutting the drivers side chassis rail.

Turbdup
Engine bay sorry haha
morgey
Generally speaking yes. But if you want to try and make the stock driveshafts fit you will have to cut both.
Turbdup
I'm thinking of doing some little mods to engine while its out of the car any ideas of some cheap power gains as I'm just keeping it naturally aspirated at the moment
morgey
Nothing really cheap im affraid. Stuff to do whilst its out would be lightweight flywheel. Most other mods can be done fairly easily in car. I managed to swap my cams out for example. Some imec trumpets in the plenum maybe. Manifold etc can all be fitted afterwards
Turbdup
Hey i was just thinking about this with this conversion do i have to do a brake upgrade if so what are some sujestions on this
morgey
If you turbo it yes if its n/a not really. My car has 135whp and weighs 940kgs with fuel and full interior so some ep turbo brakes and decent pad/disc/fluid combo is fine unless you are tracking it.Upgrades with slight mods are- st185 celica single pots and some corolla d4d or astra 1.7 tdci discs fit- ae111 levin/trueno bzr twinpots and above discsOr the slightly more expensive option if you can find a set you can get direct bolt on kits like - ksport- wms - wilwoodSome of the traders on here sell these brake kits.
