  1. It was 197 on ct9 and yeah tuner had a few more bhp left to squeeze out but he left it at that as it was a safe figure and not straining anything can't remember exact set up think it was Rrfpr Hks fcd Apexi safc Apexi avcr Decat Japspeed exhaust zisco manifold externally gated Hks mushroom filter Think that was it
  2. Completely depends on the tuner/tune it gives you a lot more settings to play with. You can only trim fuel down on it if I remember rightly. So you have you rr fpr set a little higher than usual. ( the tuner would set it so it runs slightly rich through out rev range ) then they trim the fuel back down to the right mixture through out the rev range to get it spot on and squeeze every last bit of power/efficiency
  3. It's to fine tune your fueling through the rev range on a dyno It's like a piggy back ecu
  4. All the parts were from Toyota also ... :s pistons rings gasket sets bearings etc :s
  5. Was machined on each build I had done. Bottom end skimmed as well as head each time and bores done.
  6. Beauty yeah I'll be in process of kitting it out main thing is as long as I can fit my glanza and my Vxr in ill b happy anything else will b a bonus
  7. Yeah cool I've got a pritty good idea of how I want it just looking for other ideas tho and just curious to see how everyone else manages with there working on there motors
  8. Well I did a search and didn't find any threads already open. I'm going to be building my own garage over the next couple months and I know what I've got planned out its 5m wide by 7m long. Should be just enough room for my astra vxr to park in and the glanza in there to work on also. I've bought a shell and engine and plan on building a forged glanza over the next 12/16months So yeah basically just wondering If you guys have any pics of your garage set ups at home or what ever
  9. I had to notch my sandwich plate when I fitted it. And your right it did look gash
  10. If you need the housing from the one I got I'll change it over with ya if it helps
  11. Haha I like it I anticipate from now to getting motor back on road to take a year I'm in no hurry and have lots planned
  12. Right then everyone I have rebuilt an engine before myself with a bit of help from a mate well actually rebuilt it twice but anyway. I used to have a glanza and regret selling it. Anyway been and got hold of a rolling shell and an engine and I'm gonna take my time over it and build a forged engine and few other goodies etc I'll start a progress thread once some proper movement on the project takes place. In the mean time has anyone got any tips or advice for the build that you'd like to share with me ?
