    but if your sure its detonation are you using detcans to hear it??? or is this knocking just a noise?

  2. Wel lads got my gt starlet mapped the other day and only made 240bhp @ 1.4 bar boost on a tuning developmenps hybrid td04 😠

    No boost leaks no falt codes running fine just not making good power, is also lagy for a td04 imo. Can't figure it out, Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Is my exhaust big enough? Think it's 2.25 into 2.5" blitz nur spec

    rest of spec is,

    td hybrid td04 turbo kit

    forged 4e engine, (standard compression)

    standard head and inlet

    Emanage ultimat ecu

    Fmi

    fpr

    walbro pump

    Lambda sensor was not working on dyno witch I have since changed but ecu dose not use lambda at wot

  3. Im not sure of this but when im accelarating i sometimes hear some knocking/ping. I have forged wossner pistons and by them selves they already make strange noisestill they heat up but its common as i know others.

    How can i be sure the engine is not knocking/pinging? Should i retard ignition by a bit and see if it does it or any other method?

    Knock/det you will need detcans to hear that.

    Could be bad fuel?

    Or is it bearing knock?

  4. Anyone here have managed to make some Good detcans. U tried 3 methods and none if them is working. Tried flattening a copper pipe and attach everything to earmuffs.. didnt work..

    tried an elctronic one using Listen Up device but the alternator frequency is the only tbing i can hear.

    Tried even using stetoscope but the sound is very low and i can barely hear anything while reving.

    I saw one live.. from a tuner using a stetoscope and i duplicate it but still no luck :(

    copper pipe how was it connected?

  5. Just had a quick look through TSL for last years track day trophy, my friend with a Mini Cooper S (150hp per tonne) managed a 1:44 in qualifying which was good enough for second on the grid.

    Quickest FWD car was a civic who did a 1:40

    I think I can go low 1:40s that was first time round cadwell with poorly engine I will post up next time I'm going if you wana join me 👍

    When I rebuild mine I'll put one on.. Not going to do it on the current engine.. I'll just stick to snetterton/silverstone for track days haha.

    Haha cadwell Is well worth the trip even without baffled sump 😉

  7. Car looks like its running well bar the gearbox issue.

    Some alright bits of driving too, the traffic there would do my nut in tho. Never done cadwell because of that and i didnt trust my glanza without a baffled sump there. Are you running a baffled or standard one?

    Cheers,yeh got trap door sump 😎. Fuel was an issue if I went lower than 1/4 tank only round turn 1 tho, Looking at getting a surge tank after I've rebuilt engine and gearbox
