  1. I'm sure it made silly low torque haha.

    It's got an ITR air box and spoon filter, 98 spec 4-1 mani, mugen b pipe and mugen twinloop back box. All running on standard ITR ecu. Just a really strong engine man, pushing to go ITB and cammed next Winter.

    And nah wont be me on the m65 because I live in central Scotland

  2. Always wanted one of these, so when the chance to buy this came up I jumped at it. Few of the Scottish guys might recognise the car.

  3. Going in for the new engine this week.


    Spec is.


    Evo 7 Bottom end with 33000 km's on it

    Evo 8 MR Head

    Evo 8 MR Turbo

    ARP Headstuds

    Gates Timing Belt

    Gates Headgasket

    3" Downpipe

    3" turbo elbow

    3" Decat back exhaust.

    Evo 8 560CC injectors

    Evo 6 ECU.


    Should be good for 400bhp when mapped (Need cams for 400/400)

  4. Fair play. I was using mine daily when I was getting that. Was loving it till it shat itself yesterday. Lol

    Mine has shat an injector, getting my Evo 7 engine fitted next week though.

    nice mate. i am an evo4 owner myself. car looks tons better with that wrap removed. by the way..we make a shite load of parts for this car...if you ever need anything, give us a shout !!

    If its half as good as the Starlet stuff you do mate, it'll be brilliant. I'm possibly in the market for a Manifold and Downpipe with external wastegate capability.

  5. Wee update on this.


    Removed the wrap of the roof, mirrors and pillars.

    Changed the wheels to some Evo 8 Enkei's.

    Removed the fake HKS BOV and running no BOV now.


    Car looks so much better.

    However...


    Think its decided to shit a cam angle sensor, which could mean crankwalk.


    Getting a new engine from a 7, running an 8 head, bigger injectors and a new ecu. Should be good for over 380bhp when mapped.

  6. So I started a new job recently and i'm making way better money and not using a car as a daily as I have a shit Vauxhall Combo 1.3 cdti work van.


    So I did some thinking and decided that there was no point in me chucking mental money at the Mini, so I was as well as getting something awesome.


    Here's what I ended up with:

    Its a '96 Evo I've.


    Supposedly has a VI engine and VIII MR turbo, but need to check codes to confirm this.


    Other than that its pretty standard apart from:


    Apexi Air Filter

    3" exhaust

    V wheels powdercoated in a dark red.

    V Recaro front seats.

    A/C Removed.

    VI Rear lights.

    Angel Eye headlights, which I surprisingly like.

    Kenwood Headunit.


    Bad points about the car are:


    The horrid carbon wrap on the roof, mirrors, pillars and bonnet vent.

    Fly eye on the rear lights

    It has some rust on the rear doors.

    A parking dent in the rear quarter.

    It seems to be misfiring under boost.


    Plans are:


    To service it this weekend with genuine filters, NGK plugs and Millers 10w40 fully synthetic.

    Remove the carbon wrap and fly eye.

    Get the rear quarter damage repaired.

    Change the doors as the previous owner gave me 4 new doors with the car.

    Walboro and a map if it is a VI engine.

    Change my wheels to the Enkei WRC Tarmac's the previous owner also gave me

    Some new rubber.

    And to enjoy the car on track. I've booked up for Monster Attack in August at Knockhill, which is where the track wheels and Dunlop slicks the previous owner also gave me will come into use.


    Can't describe how happy I am with the car, just need to make it my own now.

    Lowered on BC Racing Coilovers and fitted with Hardrace rear camber arms.
    Also just had the droplinks done, as well as a full service using Castrol Magnatech oil, genuine filters and NGK plugs.
    Decatted.
    Fitted with a JVC headunit, but can provide standard tape deck and 6 disc changer.
    Few wee paint nicks, can sort you out pics to show these.
    Only selling to fund my new project.
