Both myself, mark (nightspirit) and Craig all rattle canned ours Matt black back in the day. All came out really well actually. Need to try and dig up some pics.
I miss nightspirit's car
What is he up to now anyway, do you know?

3000rpm range?
Ooooh. My engine knocked from around 2750 - 4000...

Yep, I had this issue also. It's just something we'll have to put up with I'm afraid; not even Toyota do the correct HB3 bulb any longer!
-
Looks like a good little car to bring back to the light!
At least the red paintwork looks in good nick, no fading that I can see. Sunroof as well -
Ay up, it's KP!
Shame to hear that the 4A has gone balls up, that car was a real labour of love.
Welcome to the forum! -
On google maps it says its 1hr 22 mins away from the services ?
I'm coming from London and Corby is closer to me by apparently 1hr 22 mins so is there anyway of meeting closer to the speedway. ?
This was for the 2014 JF2 mate
For the old location at Donnington.
New meetup point will be arranged and announced in due time!

Sorry, I meant in terms of payment, ordering, etc! I knew about prepping the calipers.

Love these little things!

Volk 5/4s. Not everyone's cup of tea. I now have them on the other way around (5s up front, 4s rear).

I'm not, but me and the parents are going to the Cholmondely Pageant of Power on Sunday! Should be good, Vulcan flyover before it's retired for good.

Do you get much interest from the Japs about the Starlet? Any old-timers with wistful looks in their eyes? Haha
Just wondering how popular (if at all) they still are over there now. -
Welcome to the forum Hiro!
There are probably more Starlets in the UK and Ireland than there is left in Japan now! -
I would like to come if that's okay. I'll prop up on the stand if I can where do I get a ticket and the bits I need plus who am I paying or were
We're still in the process of working out what's happening with tickets. Never fear, we'll announce/post it as soon as we know

I honestly did not know what a bottom end knock sounded like, and even my dad didn't think it was bottom end as it sounded too much like something in top-end (drawing from his early years experience of quality British car engineering there
)
At least I know now

Well, mystery parcel arrived today! OEM 3-point strut brace from TC Dave (a name which some of the older lads may recognise!) All plastics there apart from the very lower one that covers the hole in the carpet, and on a whole, quite good condition considering the age of these now!
Always wanted one of these, chuffed! -
This is mental. Actually mental.
Stunning GT mate!! -
nice to see an update buddy!
Looking forward to seeing all these mystery body parts.
Also, put your wheels back the other way please, my eyes can't adjust to 5s on the front.
:p
Phil.
I actually like them a lot better with the 5s on the front!!

My old 3G grooved discs are starting to get a bit past it now, and I also need some new pads, so I'm thinking about getting some OEM 110% discs and DS2500 pads. It'll hopefully be next month that I can pay for these, so if you let me know with what needs doing etc, that'd be brilliant!
Quick question though, I'm currently using YellowStuffs. Which best match these in terms of performance; the DS2500 or DS3000? As far as I'm aware, the DS3000 is a proper track pad however?
Cheers! -
Well, this hasn't been posted on in a while!
First major thing is... that noise I had been hearing for about the best part of 8 months turns out to be a knackered bottom end
Oil starvation seems to have been the issue, I must have been giving it too much welly around a roundabout at some point. Anyway, got that all sorted out, crank only needed a polish. Got the Ogura fitted at the same time!
And as if there wasn't a respray noted down in my head already due to the previous owners dubious paintjob and the small amount of body parts I've been amassing (), I caused myself to mentally underline note further that by introducing the passenger side of the car to a low drystone wall. Whoops. It seems that the moulding has taken all of the brunt of the damage (it was a *very* low stone wall), and thankfully completely missed the Rays! So glad I hadn't gotten any spacers on yet!
Anyway!!
I have this little mystery parcel on the way:Should be with me in the next few days hopefully.
Next on the list of things to get is a catch can, some new pads and discs (thinking WMS 110% discs and DS2500 for this). -
For as long as I can remember, my GT has always been lurchy at low speeds too, no idea if that's related or not.
-
When the engine is cold and I have the headlights on etc, most of the time the car does a cold high idle of ~1000-1500 (which is normal?), and then some days it'll be a pain in the arse and idle at 600rpm no matter what, shaking the car to bits. Does my tits in, but the grey unit on the end of the inlet mani (ICV?) was a new item about 2 years ago, so can't be that. I'm wondering if it's throttle body related, or grounds related...

This makes me happy
