  1. Ah, okay, thank you! Seems so complicated for something that quite often goes wrong lol, silly Toyota!
  2. Hey guys, I bought a glanza with a noisy drivers side CV joint. It's a 1996 EP91 and we were told that the CV joint has 23 splines, but when I've gone to buy one there is always two different types - 23/23 or 30/23. What are outer and inner, and how can I tell which one I need to buy? Thank you in advance
  3. Ah okay, thanks! Out of interest, have either of you had a respray of that panel and if so, how much did it cost?
  4. Hi guys, I have quite bad lacquer peel on the passenger side rear quarter of my silver EP91. I was just wondering how much people have been charged in the past for a re-spray of this panel? Unfortunately, the lacquer peel is also on the passenger door but I don't know whether to just replace the door or have this resprayed too. I'm just a little worried that replacing the door will mean loads of electrical sorting due to the electric windows and mirrors. What's your opinions? Thank you
  5. As I may have said above I'm looking to buy some new wheel nuts to transfer my Rota wheels from my Civic to my Glanza and I have finally settled on getting some Tegiwa nuts (because I have read that there are a lot of fake D1 nuts being sold as genuine and I cant decipher between the real & fakes), however on the Tegiwa website they are saying that Toyota's take M12x1.25 but everywhere else I have read that the Toyotas/Starlets take M12x1.50. Can anyone confirm or deny that Tegiwa are correct/incorrect and confirm the actual size (1.25 or 1.50) of the wheel nuts I need to order? Ma
  6. Okay thank you! I'll do it over next week as I'm working this weekend and won't have my laptop. But I will be asking about some of them! And parts of the engine bay we haven't figured out yet! Thank you for all the welcomes though, really appreciate it!!
  7. Hey guys, I've got a Greddy turbo timer installed (came with the car). All I want to do is set it for 30 seconds, however as soon as I start the engine it starts counting up in seconds from 20. Whatever figure it gets to, at the point of turning off the engine it leaves the car running for that time - even 10 minutes from testing it earlier!! How do I set this manually? Thank you in advance for help!
  8. It's only boosted 0.6 of a bar now on the manual boost controller, but I didn't realise that so thank you for letting me know! Is there anything else you noticed? There's some weird parts on this car - not sure what's been done to it! We discover new strange bits on it every time we work on it! Nothing major though, just odd bits of interior and body work. Strange!!
  9. Yeh that's the one! They had a lot of time wasters, couldn't understand why though because it's an incredible little car! We got it for a good price though! We're trying to figure out how to reconnect the turbo timer, as well as figure out why it has an electric and a manual boost controller! It's had a lot of bits disconnected because the previous owner wasn't sure how they worked - but it's gonna save us money as it's good stuff like Greddy. Thanks for the advice on the nuts, had previous trouble when I bought a car with cheap ones. Gonna get something decent for my Glanza. Any revi
  10. Wow, thanks guys! Really nice welcome It's wierd because I thought it looks more like it'd fit a Ford badge than a Toyota - we've even measured up a Toyota badge and it doesn't seem to be quite the right fit! Very odd!! We bought the car from South Molton, Devon and we noticed after we put a deposit down that in the photos of it in the advert it had two different bumpers! One was this one and one looked more like the standard. Strange!! Thanks for the pictures Kyle, you're being a great help! One more question, and this is going to sound really stupid, but does anyone have any pa
  11. Hey guys, My name is Alice and I've just bought this EP91 Glanza. I still have my old EJ9 Civic which we're going to fix up and sell, but I have absolutely fallen in love with my Starlet! I know it's not perfect and needs some TLC and money to be spent on it but what do you think? We are a little puzzled over the front bumper - anyone got any ideas as to what it's from? It isn't like anything we've found so far! I'm not overly keen on this bumper so is there anyone breaking a Glanza? I was wondering what kind of options I have for a replacement as I'd like to do s
