been having some starting issues with my ep82 since yesterday, went to try start it this morning and it will cough and start with a misfire if i press the throttle but otherwise it just turns over. its really put a downer on my day and hope its nothing major as I've just bought the car..could someone please help me out much apreciated tan

i am hoping this is the problem, tomorrow im going to take leads and plugs out make sure everything around there is dry. i have heard condensation/water can get into the dizzy cap too so i will check that. thanks alot for replying to my post bud much apreciated...

went to start my starlet today and it sounded as if it was misfiring and idling really rough and cut out as soon as i take my foot off the accelarater. really put a downer on my day as the car was only bought yesterday but i know its something small just cant get my head around what it could be...was driving fine this morning then it rained and parked up went to start it and this! any help very much apreciated lads...

so i just bought an ep82 yesterday its been running fine yesterday and today, got in it to go shop and it had a random missfiring noise coming from it and the engine light was on. also it just idles really really low and cuts out by it self, any idea what this could be guys? need some help asap.... thanks

i like the wheels too, just really got my heart set on some bronze or white wheels for it..thanks for the sizes and model of the wheels shaf

yeah shaf ill definatly get used to it, and i know what you meant about the power its more than quick enough for what i want, might bet it mapped on an emanage at some point to 0.7 bar or something around there...

well as the title says im just looking for a change of wheels, never been a fan of black on black..if anyone fancies these jdm oz wheels just drop me a pm with what wheels and tyres you have, all four tyres have loads of tread...wheels could do with a refurb but have been told they're worth some good money.

well picked up my ep82 quadlight yesterday, seems to be an amazing bit of kit. always wanted an 82 and especially a black one! its got a toyosport manifold and decat with a td04 so going to get it mapped on an emanage at some point. i forgot just how hard it is to drive a car with a paddle clutch in traffic! needs a bit of tidying up on the bodywork but will look good on a set of bronze rota grids....

havnt bumped into any vw lot though couple of civic type r's and astra vxr have been troubled by the little ep82 though...

i picked up my black ep82 today, from shaf from this forum he had it for sale for 2200, its running a td04 with toyosport mani and decat, seems to run pretty nice am going to give it a good once over tomorrow and will get some pics up.

thanks for the advice bud, im going to check it out properly before i hand over any cash tomorrow will post some pics etc if i get it.

would sorting the input bearing on a gearbox be a big problem? been offered a pretty clean glanza v for 2300 pretty clean bodywork and enginewise just making a whining noise from the gbox goes into all gears fine etc and doesnt seem to get worse. how would i fix this issue?

New to the starlet scene here im on the lookout for a weekend toy now i have passed my test and have got my self a reliable daily..looking to spend 2k ish and build it up into something I've always wanted has to be an ep82 really not a fan of the glanzas. Will have a good look around over the next month and hopefully find a decent car for my budget.
