  1. Can anyone help, I dont understand how to turn on the rear heated screen, I have a blanking plate where I think a button should be, it has a picture of the rear heated screen (the symbol). After pulling it out it's not a button, just a blanking plate. (it does look like a third button on the dash though) next to the hazzards and boost limiter buttons. How does this thing work? Help?
  2. What is the genuine oil filter part number for a 1994 Starlet GT turbo (4efte). Cheers Guys
  3. Guys, Mine did exactly this and it was the gear box attached to the motor that was jammed, the circlip that holds the gear down had popped off and was jammed in the worm gear, this allowed about 3" of movement before it jammed the gears up solid. I suggest you strip it and take a look its pretty simple stuff and easy to do, and could save you the £112+ that Toyota seem to want to charge for the part. Good luck. Oh and the runners do get very dry and sticky on the glass, I would suggest using silicone lube rather than WD40 as the silicone will not rot the rubber runners at all.

  5. Guys I have looked on the JAE 2007 show guides and as far as I can see, I cant see a UKSC section. Anyone know exactly where the club stand is going to be sited? I have resorted to looking on the lexus sites guide as our JAE map doesn't have any labels. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=38184 No sign of a UKSC stand and I have looked for ages can we get an updated map with a circle or summut? Cheers Mike F

  8. Hey Guys is there a Starlet stand? I am going but need somewhere to park.... Put me down as defo as going all three days.
  9. I gutted my cat today, easiest job ive done in ages and in the rain... Used to the joys of MR2 Turbo ownership where every job takes 2 days with the engine out LOL. Take time means if its tight use plenty of WD40 and wind forwards and backwards to free the bolt etc. Basically gutting the CAT steps with times without breaking anything are: Job Time Activity 1 00:05 Jack up at the front (I used ramps). 2 00:10 Remove 4 bolts holding two front undertrays at the front, pull appart, use plenty of WD40 and take time. 3 00:05 Unbolt the exhaust stabiliser tap the clamp down, use plenty of WD40 and take time. 4 00:10 Remove heat shield from CAT, note its a good Idea to use a 1/4 ratchet with a short extension bar. 5 00:01 Undo clip on temp sensor, its a tricky begger 6 00:10 Undo the four main bolts that hild the bottom part of the cast manifold onto the CAT,use plenty of WD40 and take time. 7 00:02 Pull bottom casting part off and push to the side Tie up with some wire I tied it to my aircon pump. 8 00:10 Bash the crap out of the CAT brick with chisle until it falls out. 9 00:01 Check for cat brick debris in bottom elbow and metal rings \ gause found in cat housing. Refit all parts 00:26 So to gut the cat on my EP82 quad lamp took about 01hour 20mins approx Powerwise its a bit more responsive and seems to want to give a bit more at higher revs, also seems to have given me 1 or 2 psi gain over stock, My car is totally stock apart from this mod and it appears on the stock Boost gauge to reach just a sliver before the + line now whereas before it was on the graduation before. In terms of Mods I would rate this 6/10
  10. Night as the EP seems to be getting a hold of me and my interest in modding increases I have been considering some mods especially around the usual Intercooler, turbo, ecu, exhaust areas. I was thinking of giving the CT26 a go on the ep, something like a supra one without the twin entry, its much bigger sure to be laggy but not as big as some of the units being used and they are pretty cheap, was actually wondering how close the mounting bolt pattern would be, anyone know? Just a thought as they would be easy to source and work with.
