cheers for the advice... but... i was going to the Toyota dealer to get a new key for my car, so that i would have a spare set (which i did not get, when i bought my car) and the guy said i could get one (key with a chip-due to the immobilizer) so all was good, until i turned up to collect it. he needed to 'input the data' or somethin, and to do that, the cars circuits needed to be set up, but apparently mine have purposely been 'ripped out' i think his words were... and he didnt wanna touch it after that... 'because the alarm might just go off- and i wouldnt be able to turn it off'... i was just wondering if any one else has had a problem like this, or is the guy being a dick about it?

hey, haven't posted on here for a while... because.... (dare i say it..) i gave up on the ol' starlet. .... im sorry.... but... i kinda need help. i was washing it the other day, and fell back in love with it again... but i have a few technical problems... (i think their possibly major..) and i just wanted to ask if it's worth keeping it, and working on it. or get a new car. my car still runs fine, and works without breaking down... but.... a previous owner had torn out the electronics (i did not know this until lately, when i went to get another key cut)... but my alarm doesnt work... the central locking does not work. and the light (when you open a door) doesnt come on (the one inside the car, and the one by the speedo') so yeah, any ideas how much this would cost to get fixed.. or later?

i finished school yesterday ahah.

my car ran out of petrol yesterday. gutted. from empty it cost me £41 to fill it up! not amused. stupid low level light didnt work!

ok... im trying to get my tank empty and run out of fuel. just to see how far it goes. (im carrying abou a £5 in the boot, just incase. but its going forever. im like about 1cm below the line. surely it cant go further?

ill have to fill it up and work it out. but some weeks i can get loads out of it, and i thought there was sumthing wrong with it. but maybe its just the way i drive.hahahha

loving the white glanzas too,espesh the number plate on one of them. 'c8uel' ahaha, nice! must have set the owner back a bit! not really feelin' the green-yellow colour scheme. but looks like a beast under the bonnet mkes all the difference

nah mate, no attempt on them yet. got this week (mon - thurs) of exams, and hopefully i wont need the last 2 days (a week monday + wed's) for my 20 hour i.t exam. i want them to be over this week. i had a chat with my mate, he's just posted his car up, i think he's called matt_gt or something. but iwas talkin bout an engine conversion. but after reading a thread on here, i think it's just easier and cheaper to wait until im 19 or whatever for a glanza or gtt. although, been trying to get some quotes for next year. put myself 1 year older, with 1 years ncb... and i still couldnt get ANY

Just wondering really, what your all getting per gallon... sometimes my car can be good, and also can be pretty shaite! so filled her up today, and going to work it out soon

im still waiting for the tyre stuff off my mate, he says he has something that works wonders on the whole car, tyres... door handles etc... just to make it look a bit neater. as fr the trims. any particular substance i shud use?

yeah man, was gna ask about that, (saw it in a thread earlier), but whats the easiest way to take the side stickers and all that jazz off? im guessing its gna have to have something to do with warm water, or a hairdrier, because its a solvent adhesive?

thnk im gna have to wait til ncb kick in! can only just about afford to run it standard. rents dont trust me on their insurance like... so im paying like 1300 for just me (18 years old- 0 ncb) lol. and i was still in school until 2 weeks ago! so couldnt even work enough to pay it off but am happy with my starlet.
